How do I find my textbooks online?Select the quarter for which you are purchasing books under the "Term Name". Then you will need to select the "department", "course", and "section" from your class schedule. Once you have found all the courses you have enrolled in, click on the "Compare Prices on These Course Materials" button at the bottom. All titles that are available online are also available in the store. Please note that not all instructors require a textbook for their courses. If you cannot find the section number or the section is not listed as All, the instructor has not submitted an order to the Highline Bookstore or the class could possibly be canceled.Can I order my books online and pick them up at the store?Yes. When checking out, simply select "Store Pickup" for your shipping preference. You will receive an email when your textbooks are ready for pickup. Textbook pickup is located in the back of the store by aisle six in our textbooks section. Please allow at least 24-48 hours for your order to be processed before coming into the bookstore. If we are able to process your order sooner, we will contact you through e-mail or phone to notify you that your order is ready for pickup. ID is required for store pickup.How long does it take for an order to be shipped?Books take 2-3 days to ship via FedEx if the books are currently in stock at the bookstore. Books may not be available when you order, but it will be shipped out when available.Can I use my Voucher Account to purchase textbooks or supplies online?Yes. When checking out simply select "Bookstore Charge" and fill in your student ID number. For orders that do not have enough available funds, your order will be placed on hold until funds are available in your account.Can I have my access code e-mailed if I purchased online?Yes. When checking out make a note on your order that you would like to have the code e-mailed instead of having the access code shipped or picked up in-store.What credit cards are accepted at the bookstore?We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover currently online and in-store for purchases and rentals.Does the bookstore accept personal checks?Yes, but you must present a valid Washington State ID, and a current Highline Student or Staff/Faculty ID. A working phone number will also be required.Can I return my textbooks?Yes, with a receipt! The last day to return your textbooks will be listed on your receipt. New books must be in new condition (no water damage, highlighting, dog-eared pages, etc.). Prepackaged course supply kits and books that are accompanied by software must be un-opened. Your Highline Bookstore sales receipt is always required.Does the bookstore buy used textbooks?Yes. During quarter finals and the beginning of each quarter, textbooks that will be used in the upcoming quarter will be bought back for up to 50% of the new book price, unless one of the following events occurs: The instructor has not requested the book for the next quarter. (Textbooks that will not be used in the upcoming semester will be bought back at market value.) We have already bought back as many copies of the book as we need. There is a more recent edition available. The book has no national market demand. The book is not in resalable condition.
